Although It's not finish yet as I intend to retake the image in colour and maybe readjust the placement of the subject slightly, however i am pleased with the outcome. This is my latest project, very similar to a lot of my other 'Britishness' body of works. 'Broken Biscuits and Pigeons are Amongst My Favourite Things.' At the moment I am in the early stage of the project, documenting the social interaction between Pigeon Fanciers. I intend to create a book as well as portraits of individual Fanciers to capture a comprehensive body of work. enjoy

After a bit more experimenting, I have recently received another empty frame back from the processors. Although I'm claiming the image as mine, I still don't know how I managed it? If anybody has an idea on how it works (I'm sure someone does) then please let me know. As I have said I intend create a body of work which almost questions the viewers on whether or not these are actual photographs. Opinion?

Star Gazing

After receiving a film back from the processors I was amazed by this image. How I did it, I don't know. All I know is I want to take some more! It looks like dust from within the camera, which was a £1 disposable from Pound-land. The other photos came out not as I planned so this image immediately grabbed all of my attention. It looks like you're looking out into the universe, see for yourself.

Open or Wrapped

Second shoot from my latest project 'Open or Wrapped?'. It started off as an investigation looking into whether or not Fish and Chips are still 'the British Working-Class institution'. Or has it become more widely accepted by other 'higher' classes. However it soon became clear that is now eaten by every social class, and I think in today's society this is quite clear, especially in certain parts of the country. After this unusually quick conclusion I am now trying to encourage the viewer to connect with the situation rather than the emotions found on the faces of the subjects, within the frame. This is what I initially set out to do, however I was very interested in the investigational side to this project, and was quickly side tracked. I hope the audience feel slightly awkward whilst viewing the slightly abstract composition of these images, rather than feeling comfortable in the familiar situation.

Lonely Objects

Although these two images are very simple, the composition really makes these objects that you wouldn't really notice or appreciate normally, stand out and become very aesthetically pleasing pieces of art, on their own. Once photographed in a pure way, they become noticeable for their good points rather than their practical values. That's what I like.

This is a new project I am currently starting, looking at identities, which our clothes help to promote within society. Without seeing the face you can't judge nor be able to identity with the individual. Cross processed I like the way the previous image has entered the frame, it almost questions the viewers' opinion of the identity in the image.

Grandad.

These two images of my Grandad has been the impetus for a project of mine which I am going to begin as soon as possible. My Grandad has recently been involved in a car accident, he's okay however, he as well as other family member only up until recently had decided it would be better if he gave driving a miss. I don't drive myself, but I could imagine it's not the easiest thing to let go of, especially for somebody who is so reliant on his car for transport. I find it hard to get my head around how he is feeling about this. Having freedom for many years, to just drop such an important tool in ones life must be extremely difficult to come to terms with. As well as this we as a family lost our loving Grandma in 2006, I want to document how my Grandad has coped with this as well as the lack of a car. I hope to document changes seen in Grandad if there is any, as well as how he is coming to terms with living alone. Without our family around him, I could only imagine how lonely it would.
